Requirements for this position
Experience:
- 8 to 12 years of experience in public accounting and tax preparation.
License:
- An active CPA license is required
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required
- Master's or graduate-level degree in Accounting or Taxation is preferred
A Day in the Life of a Senior Manager
- Manage a client base consisting of corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, and individuals.
- Managing multiple engagements by properly delegating to staff and coordinating with partners on all phases of the engagement.
- Serve as a technical resource to the firm and its clients
- Proactive effort to develop new business with both current and prospective clients.
- Providing leadership, supervision, training, and performance feedback to staff
- Reviewing tax work papers and determining that the engagement has been performed in accordance with professional standards and the terms of the arrangement letter.
