Image Review Specialist

Definition and Examples of Work

  • Review images of license plates previously rejected by the double-blind process or images that did not meet the minimum requirements for initial review.
  • Make corrections to transactions based on photographic evidence to assign the correct license plate information.
  • View confidential registered vehicle owner information.
  • Ability to quickly recognize fraudulent license plates.
  • Ability to accurately investigate license plates and vehicle makes/models using approved software/image databases to correctly identify new license plate and vehicle designs from the U.S. and other countries.
  • As needed to clear backlogs, review images processed by Roadside Toll Collection system while maintaining a high level of production (quality and quantity).
  • Maintain confidentiality of information within the department.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as business needs require.

Latitude and Impact of Position

This position works independently to accomplish tasks and will be asked to work as part of a team to provide input and problem solving to complete tasks. Decision making is typically done independently within established company guidelines in regard to decisions affecting the individual's work tasks. Successful and efficient completion of job tasks impacts revenue generation (receivables).

  • Limited access office environment in which multiple employees work in an open workspace setting.
  • Open office environment where a dedicated daily personal space may not be available.
  • Must work without access to personal communications equipment such as cell phone, camera, tablet or other electronic devices.
  • This is a repetitive function position requiring the ability to sit for long periods of time while observing minute details on a computer screen and make corrections using mouse/keyboard.

QUALIFICATION

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to recall from memory short sequences of numbers and letters, including unique visual details.
  • Ability to quickly identify problems or issues and report findings.
  • Effective professional communication, both orally and written.
  • Experience with office equipment such as copiers, scanners, Windows/iOS computers and peripheral equipment.
  • Must be able to pass Skills Assessment tests including 40 wpm for a standard keyboard, 12,500 kph for a 10-key skilled test, and pass a memory test with a 95% or higher.
  • Ability and willingness to adopt new technologies and procedures quickly.
  • Ability to work independently in a quiet environment to avoid distracting others.
  • Ability to accurately focus on repetitive, monotonous work for long periods of time.
  • Continuous learning of new license plate designs to maintain a high level of expertise.
  • A high level of personal integrity.

Preferred Knowledge, Abilities and Skills

  • System knowledge of the turnpike (to be learned on the job).
  • Knowledge of and ability to use computer keyboard shortcuts to increase work efficiency.
  • Knowledge of vehicle makes, models and configurations including passenger, recreational and commercial vehicles.
  • Prior experience identifying license plate configurations from all U.S. states, Mexico states, Canadian provinces and government entities including color and font.  Experience can include law enforcement, government, commercial or private occupations providing articulatable transferrable skills.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to demonstrate and prove a high level of attention to detail and memory recall uniquely identifying characteristics of vehicles and/or license plates.

  • May work occasional overtime to accommodate work volume.
  • Must pass background check and comply with all work policies, including PII and NDA requirements.
  • Reliable transportation to get to/from work site.
  • This position will be required to articulate facts from memory and must demonstrate a deep knowledge of legal license plate designs and vehicle makes/models.
  • Must pass credit check.
