Production Control Supervisor

This position is responsible to lead and supervise the Production Control Group, including running MRP daily; prioritization of shop-floor work-orders; expediting, communicating and resolving obstacles to work order execution. Your team will be working in the office and on the manufacturing floor.  You will work cross-functionally, interfacing with engineering, planning, and production to meet production goals.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a strong, motivated production control team capable of consistently managing MRP runs and work order integrity.
  • Ensure efficient, timely work order scheduling and prioritization to ensure production teams can meet production targets.
  • Empower the production control team to collaborate with production teams and other stakeholders to improve processes to ensure efficient WIP movement.
  • Ensure adherence to all production control processes and make sure that all team members are trained and cross-trained.
  • Report generation and status updates to internal customers.
  • Actively participate in process improvement initiatives to ensure best practices across production control.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or a combination of work experience and education preferred.
  • Three to five years related experience in supply chain/production planning in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate to the degree necessary to perform the job.
  • Able to handle situations involving sensitive issues with professionalism.
  • Strong computer skills to include Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work cross functionally with many levels of an organization.
  • Must be able to work independently, as well as under direction, must be highly energized, motivated and well organized.
  • Prior experience with an MRP/ERP system preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence others in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Prior supervisory experience required.
