Personal Assistant / House Manager

Personal Assistant / House Manager – NYC (UES)

Seeking a High-Energy, Kid-Savvy PA with Heart and Backbone

Are you a dynamic, experienced Personal Assistant or House Manager with a natural ability to lead with warmth, move fast, and keep the wheels turning behind the scenes? A vibrant executive family based on New York City's Upper East Side is looking for a high-EQ professional who brings both hustle and heart to their home.

This role is not for the faint of energy. We're looking for someone who's quick on their feet, proactive in every sense, and ready to be the connective tissue of a fast-paced household. Someone who genuinely loves being around children—think cool aunt energy—while still setting clear, respectful boundaries. (We have a Nanny/FA so this is not a childcare role, but you need to be great with kids!)

You'll be both the family's steady point person and the behind-the-scenes operator who ensures everything runs smoothly, from staff coordination to school pickups to last-minute travel logistics.

Who You Are:

  • You have a presence and professional polish, but you don't shy away from rolling up your sleeves.
  • You love kids and they love you back—you're fun, relatable, and emotionally tuned-in, while also maintaining structure and consistency.
  • You move quickly, juggle priorities with ease, and don't get flustered under pressure.
  • You take initiative, communicate clearly, and know how to create calm in the chaos.
  • You're firm but kind, and you know how to draw healthy boundaries while keeping the energy positive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee household staff and serve as point person for all day-to-day operations
  • Act as a trusted liaison between the principals, vendors, and service providers
  • Manage family calendars, appointments, after-school activities, and household logistics
  • Plan travel and manage itineraries
  • Handle administrative duties: payroll (Paychex), expenses, household records, etc.
  • Organize, streamline, and systematize the home environment
  • Support family events and occasional entertaining
  • Coordinate home maintenance, renovations, and seasonal prep
  • Run errands, assist with gifting, and anticipate family needs
  • Travel occasionally to Hamptons or Aspen residences
  • Use of Google Suite, Notion, Lutron, Crestron, Savant a plus

What You Bring:

  • 6+ years of experience as a high-level Personal Assistant or House Manager
  • Excellent judgment, grace under pressure, and top-tier organizational skills
  • A high-energy, fast-moving, solutions-first mindset
  • Emotional intelligence and comfort navigating complex family dynamics
  • Exceptional references from similar high-touch roles
  • Tech-savvy and process-minded
  • Valid driver's license (car not required)

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Full-time, on-site in UES residence
  • Monday–Friday, 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
  • Flexibility for occasional early mornings, late evenings, or weekend needs
  • $130,000–$150,000 base salary, DOE
  • Annual discretionary bonus + full benefits
