How You’ll Help Us Connect the World:

As a Network Architect Manager, you will play a dual role in overseeing the strategic direction and operational management of enterprise network infrastructure, while also designing and optimizing network systems. You will lead the network services team, manage large network projects, and ensure the performance and security of the network, all while architecting scalable, innovative network solutions using cutting-edge technologies such as Cisco, RUCKUS, and SD-WAN. This role is ideal for a dynamic leader with both strong management and technical expertise who can drive operational excellence and design impactful network solutions. This role is hybrid based in Richardson, TX.

 

You Will Make an Impact By:

  • Designing and Optimizing Network Infrastructure
    • Designing and deploying scalable network architecture across LAN, VLAN, WAN, and SD-WAN platforms.
    • Leading Cisco routing/switching, RUCKUS wireless, and Versa SD-WAN deployments, integrating with legacy networks and cloud systems.
    • Establishing network security policies, segmentation strategies, and design standards.
    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align network solutions with business and technical goals.
    • Developing network roadmaps, driving innovation, and optimizing system performance.
    • Providing Tier 3 support and technical mentoring to network teams
  • Managing Network Operations
    • Overseeing wired and wireless networks, WAN, SD-WAN, and cloud connectivity.
    • Leading and mentoring network engineers to ensure operational efficiency and high-performance standards.
    • Managing critical network incidents, serving as an escalation point 24/7/365.
    • Developing and enforcing departmental policies, ensuring compliance, and driving cost-saving initiatives.
    • Maintaining network security standards, incident response, and cybersecurity best practices.
    • Assisting with network budgets and vendor management.


Required Qualifications for Consideration:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of enterprise network engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior design role.
  • Expertise in Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, RUCKUS wireless, Versa SD-WAN technologies, and cloud platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, SD-WAN technologies, and network security protocols.
  • Proven experience in designing scalable, resilient, and secure network architectures.
  • Deep understanding of routing protocols, Layer 2/3 design, and multi-site network configurations.

  • Leadership experience managing cross-functional teams, mentoring network engineers, and ensuring network operations excellence.
  • Advanced certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or RUCKUS and Versa certifications.
  • Experience with network automation tools (Python, Ansible).
  • Proven track record in driving network innovation, architecture design, and strategic initiatives.
  • Experience supporting multi-site or campus networks and integrating SD-WAN with legacy systems.
  • Strong strategic mindset with the ability to balance operational goals and long-term network design objectives.
