Gas Distribution Pipe Welder

We have a current opening for a Welder in Jonesboro, AR. At Equix, we support our customers and stakeholders and constantly strive to exceed expectations with all of our services, which include: Pipeline Construction, Gas Distribution, Horizontal Directional Drilling, Facility Construction and Fabrication, and Trenching services.

 

Responsibilities:

• Handling projects from organizing workflow to creating schedules and all logistics with implementing the project
• Leading the crews and day-to-day activities with clear communication skills
• Knowledge of safe operation of construction equipment and work vehicles used in underground installation of natural gas distribution piping, power, and telecom infrastructure
• Lead daily safety briefings 
• Take responsibility for quality of work, meeting production goals and keeping records of production
• Proper care of assigned equipment and reporting any accidents/incidents
• Adhere to and promote company, OSHA, & DOT Safety Standards and Policies
• Leading the invoicing process for billing projects on time
• Supporting crews by grooming and developing team members for growth and advancement
• Ability to use a level and figure elevations etc.
• Other duties as assigned
• Ability to travel to different states and different sites 

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; welding certificate or training preferred
• 5+ years of welding experience preferred
• High level of proficiency in metal arc welding, downhill pipe welding experience with 6010 root, control fittings, punch tees etc.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics
• Steel-toed boots and appropriate safety gear
• Ability to stand, crouch, and lift objects throughout your shift
• Physical stamina and manual dexterity
