Private Driver

A private family seeks to hire an experienced and highly discrete Driver, with a robust security background, to provide exceptional transportation services for their family. This pivotal full-time role operates on a seven-day rotating schedule, ensuring seamless and secure travel for the Principal and their guests and family, predominantly within the environments of New York City and the Hamptons, with flexibility for other locations as required. The Principal's frequent travel will involve periods of downtime, but the Driver must maintain high availability and responsiveness when the Principal is in residence.
 
Responsibilities: 
Safe and Timely Transportation: Drive the Principal, family, and guests to various destinations, ensuring punctuality, safety, and discretion at all times.
Flexible Availability: Maintain exceptional scheduling flexibility, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and short-notice requests, adapting to the Principal's dynamic needs.
Errands and Household Support: Execute a variety of personal and professional errands and general household support tasks with efficiency and discretion.
Vehicle Maintenance and Readiness: Manage all aspects of vehicle care, including routine servicing, repairs, insurance, registration, and detailed recordkeeping, ensuring vehicles remain clean and fully operational.
Route and Area Expertise: Leverage deep knowledge of Manhattan, the Tri-State area, and the Hamptons to plan efficient travel routes and avoid delays.
 
Qualifications: 
Professionalism & Communication: Demonstrates exceptional discretion, confidentiality, and professional demeanor; possesses clear and effective verbal and written communication skills for seamless interaction with principals, family members, and staff.
Experience & Background: Prior experience as part of private household staff and/or background in police, military, or private security is required; long-term intent and willingness to work a rotating 7-day schedule with flexibility are essential.
Driving Expertise: Certified in defensive or evasive driving (preferred); skilled in operating and maintaining luxury vehicles to a high standard and managing related administration such as insurance and service records.
Compliance & Eligibility: Must have valid U.S. work authorization and driver's license 
Attitude & Teamwork: Reliable, proactive team player with a "can do" attitude; capable of taking direction, supporting various duties, and performing all job functions with or without accommodation.
 
Schedule: Willingness to work a 7-day rotating weekly schedule with two days off and the flexibility to work additional hours in the evenings or weekends as requested.
 
Compensation: Compensation is a base salary of $148k.
