Global Human Resources Manager
The Global Human Resources Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources, Safety and Environmental Departments. This position is focused on carrying out global HR initiatives in alignment with the overall goals of Positronic. At the Missouri location they will oversee and manage recruitment and selection, benefit programs, payroll/HRIS, compensation programs, training and development, employee relations, and employment law compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate current and future human capital needs to ensure proper resource allocation while working and developing employees to create the best fit circumstances based on their strengths.
- Create career development programs for all departments that will allow employee-driven goals and development and improve employee tenure.
- Assist with the development of a succession planning program for key positions to create a structure to ensure a smooth transition in times of change.
- Improve evaluation systems to create a culture of regular interaction and provide a consistent stream of feedback and development opportunities.
- Work with Business Unit Manager to ensure strategic alignment through departmental goals and best practices to create an employee-oriented, high performance, continuous improvement culture.
- Identify and comply with legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR functions (OSHA, ADA, EEO, FMLA, ERISA, and FLSA), monitor exposure to the company, and act as the primary contact with labor counsel and outside government agencies.
- Protect the interests of the employees and the company following HR policies, governmental regulations, and laws.
- Provide insight and recommendation on employee relations issues and as necessary, assist with disciplinary issues and terminations.
- Direct process for organizational planning to evaluate job structure, design, and required headcount throughout the company.
- Mange Safety and Environmental Coordinators activities and report findings to upper management.
- Oversee leave administration including FMLA, Workers Comp, and other related leave issues.
- Coordinate global activities across sites, evaluate plans, and make recommendations to the GM.
- Oversee the development of wage and salary structure and pay policies.
- Assist with the development and implementation of performance appraisal programs, benefit programs, health and safety, and wellness programs.
- Coordinate and manage overall recruitment and onboarding best practices and activity.
- Define the HR program's authority and responsibility within various programs. Provide necessary education and material to management and employees involved.
- Assist with the selection and use of HR consultants, and other outside sources.
- Oversee HRIS system administration including payroll, time and attendance, benefits, self-service, evaluations, leave management, and other related human resource information.
- Direct preparation and maintenance of reports to carry out functions of the department.
- Participate in the charitable donations committee and provide insight on donations.
- Oversee the Affirmative Action Program and ensure compliance.
- Maintain high levels of communication with the Business Unit Manager and General Manager to create an environment of trust and teamwork.
- Oversee analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law.
- Protect themselves and their co-workers by adhering to all company safety & health policies.
- Identify hazards in the workplace and report them to management and/or safety coordinator.
- Must work with the EHS department to ensure all local, state, and federal regulatory agencies requirements are met; OSHA, NFPA, DNR, EPA and Amphenol sustainability practices.
- Must work with the Quality department to ensure all quality standards are met for AS9100 certification.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Management, or another related field
- A minimum of five years of experience in human resources OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
