Inventory Manager

Bay Logistics is a privately held, family–owned Warehousing, Transportation, and Logistics Services company. Headquartered in West Michigan, we provide comprehensive, integrated strategies and value-added supply chain services associated with bringing goods to the marketplace.

The inventory Manager is responsible for oversight and management of the customer inventory for assigned locations. This includes optimizing inventory flow and ensuring inventory accuracy and efficiency. This role plays a critical part in reducing inventory discrepancies and driving process improvements. The inventory manager will lead and develop the inventory specialists providing strategic direction and ensuring alignment with goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate safely, complying with all health, safety, and environmental requirements to ensure safety.
  • Keep areas of work clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Directly manage the inventory specialist at multiple sites, provide training, coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations.
  • Set clear objectives and monitor the team’s performance against key metrics.
  • Communicating with internal partners, and the customer to resolve issues and find solutions.
  • Analyze inventory data and inform the customer of potential issues.
  • Manage and support the cycle count program and reconciliation.
  • Maintain appropriate records and prepare requested reports.
  • Enforce regular physical inventory audits.
  • Reporting issues or process deviations to management to better assist operations.
  • Undertake special projects as required.
  • Leverage WMS systems to streamline and automate inventory control processes
  • Review and analyze inventory data to identify trends and potential areas of improvement
  • Drive Continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with cross functional teams.
  • Complete any other tasks and duties needed by management.
  • Train and comply with company policies, procedures, and food safety GMPs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong proficiency in WMS systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills, experience with analytic tools is a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team while driving process improvements.
  • Hight attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
