UKG (HRIS) Functional Lead

Dessert Holdings is looking for a skilled HRIS/UKG Functional Lead to support our Benefits, Compensation, and Performance Management modules. This role will be instrumental in driving system optimization, configuration, and end-user support for key HR functions.

The typical hiring range for this role is $100,000 to $130,000 annually and is based on several factors such as education, work experience, skills, certifications, location, etc. In addition to pay, Dessert Holdings offers benefits such as a choice of comprehensive medical plans, dental and vision insurance, paid vacation and holidays, and retirement contribution to all eligible employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the functional expert for UKG modules related to Benefits, Compensation, and Performance Management.
  • Lead configuration, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support for assigned UKG modules.
  • Partner with HR business leaders to gather requirements and translate them into system solutions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, workflows, and user training materials.
  • Collaborate with IT, payroll, and third-party vendors to ensure seamless data integration and system performance.
  • Support reporting and analytics needs using UKG tools or connected platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and escalate when necessary.
  • Participate in system upgrades, patch testing, and new feature evaluations.
  • Ensure data accuracy, compliance, and alignment with HR policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage system configurations, security roles, user permissions, and data integrity.
  • Manage data integrations with benefits carriers and troubleshoot eligibility/deduction errors.
  • Support Open Enrollment system configurations and EDI file setups.
  • Configure and support performance review workflows, templates, and competency models.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between UKG and third-party systems (e.g., ERP, benefits carriers, time clocks, learning management, recruiting).
  • Mentor HR system users and provide day-to-day functional support.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience working with UKG, specifically in the Benefits and Performance Management modules
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, compliance requirements, and best practices
  • Proven experience in UKG configuration, testing, and support
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong customer service orientation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • UKG Pro or Dimensions certification (e.g., UKG Pro Admin, WFM Tech).
  • Experience supporting large-scale system implementations or upgrades.
  • Familiarity with SQL, XML, and interface mapping.
  • Experience working with ITIL methodologies.
  • Experience in the food manufacturing or CPG industry.
  • Knowledge of HRIS integrations and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel, SQL).
