Wet Lab - Engineering Technician 3rd Shift

This position is responsible for doing daily chemical analysis to support and maintain control of the wet processes within the shop.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Follow all short sheets, standard operating procedures and Amphenol’s company safety regulations.        
  • Perform daily chemical analysis on all wet process equipment per Amphenol's analysis frequency short sheet.
  • Help maintain Inventory Control within the department.
  • Maintain all current records and archive when needed.
  • Ensure analytical schedule is complete on a daily basis.
  • Work with process engineers to help development and perform all analytical procedures within the department.
  • Work with the group leader to help Maintain lab equipment and calibration including ensuring all service agreements are up to date and being fulfilled within the framework of the agreement.
  • Perform all aspects of the analytical procedures in the department including CVS Analysis, Titrations, Hull Cells, extraction techniques and pH analysis.
  • Help Maintain and update preventative maintenance packages in plating.
  • Integrate with Process Engineering to help implement process controls in True Chem database.
  • Work with Process Engineering to help resolve problematic analytical issues that may arise on a daily basis.
  • This position may require overtime for coverage on alternate shifts and weekends.
  • May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.        

           

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and follow all short sheets and customer documents.
  • Proven leadership abilities are a plus.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, team building and organization skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain/develop reports and analyze data– Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office-Outlook/Word/Excel.
  • Ability to work standing for extended periods of time and able to lift up to 35 lbs. safely.
  • 2+ years of PCB experience in Wet lab preferred.
