Position Summary
A lovely Southampton, NY client is seeking an experienced, reliable, and kind Housekeeper to join their tenured household team. This full-time, year-round position involves hands-on daily cleaning and maintaining the home to the highest standards of care and detail.

The principals are motivated to hire immediately or as soon as you are available. They understand that you might be committed to a role until the end of the season.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the general and specialty cleaning of the home, with attention to caring for fine materials and surfaces
• Work collaboratively with two tenured Housekeepers and other team members, adhering to a cleaning schedule
• As you move through your daily routine, promptly report maintenance issues to the Estate Manager
• Handle laundering and ironing of clothing and linens with precision
• Answer the phone and door with professional courtesy
• Assist the Chef with table service and simple breakfast preparations
• Run occasional household errands

 

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working as a Housekeeper in a fine home for a private employer or experience as a yacht Stewardess
• Excellent, verifiable references
• Outstanding hands-on cleaning skills with a strong eye for detail
• Ability to "read the room" and anticipate the needs of the principals
• Strong English communication skills (Tagalog a plus but not required)
• Positive service mindset and ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment

 

Schedule:

• In season, your schedule is Thursday – Monday with Tuesday/Wednesday off
• Occasional evenings hours to assist with entertaining
• Off season, mostly weekdays if you prefer
• The schedule is lighter in the off-season with no change to your weekly paycheck.

 

Compensation:

Compensation of $45-$52/hour offered, depending on experience
