How You'll Help Us Connect the World:
As an Accounting Manager, you will coordinate and supervise the maintenance of the general ledger, financial reporting, and analysis for the North America region. This role is directly responsible for general accounting, cash, and payroll functions, and will play a key leadership role within the Americas Finance organization. This position reports to the Americas Controller and is based virtually in the United States.
You Will Make an Impact By:
- Leading the North America Region (NAR) accounting team, including training, development, and support of team members.
- Coordinating general month-end accounting functions for NAR, along with the global SAP closing for consolidation.
- Preparing and reviewing manual journal entries and account reconciliations; ensuring accuracy in journal entries and account classifications, including preparation of complex entries.
- Interpreting company policy to ensure all accounts are accurately reconciled.
- Analyzing monthly fluctuations in income statement and balance sheet results.
- Ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Managing staff workload prioritization and overseeing personnel management including recruitment, performance management, and terminations.
- Providing training and support in the implementation of new accounting procedures across impacted departments.
- Supporting internal and external audits.
- Leading or contributing to special projects, as required.
Required Qualifications for Consideration:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 6+ years of related accounting experience
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Solid understanding of GAAP and FASB guidelines
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team with a consistent track record of on-time results
- Ability to manage changing priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
