Licensing and Tax Compliance Specialist

What You'll Do:

  • Review and process business and contractor licenses, renewals, and fees.
  • Enter and update license information in a computer system and keep records organized.
  • Check for compliance with licensing rules and investigate complaints about unlicensed activity.
  • Help collect unpaid license fees and assist with the license revocation process.
  • Gather and track licensing data to support reporting and enforcement efforts.

The starting hourly wage is $20.66 per hour and will increase to $21.48 per hour after 6 months of successful probation.

Here are the minimum requirements for this position:

  • A High school diploma or GED equivalent and be at least 18 years of age.
  • Graduation from a college or university regionally accredited through the United States Department of Education with a Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in Business or closely related field. 
    • Four (4) years of experience in Business or related field may be substituted for degree as determined by the Department Director.  
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Apps, with particular expertise in Word, Excel, Google Docs, or Google Sheets.  
  • Be able to pass a background investigation, drug and alcohol screenings.
  • At least nine (9) hours of college credit in Business from an accredited college or university is preferred.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of professional experience in regulatory licensing,  auditing, or municipal government, or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

WORK HOURS:       Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. required.
WORK LOCATION:  In and around the City of Branson, Missouri; This position requires work to be performed onsite.
