How You'll Help Us Connect the World:
The Product Line Manager is responsible for the profitable growth of a defined product line with the Microwave Systems business unit. Responsibilities include product line strategy, pricing, profitability, customer management and marketing. In addition to classic product management functions, the individual will successfully manage new product introduction to market. The position has cross-functional responsibility working with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and Customer Service. The position requires the individual to function effectively in a team environment, providing both vision and leadership.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:
• Manage the product life cycle of your respective portfolio.
• Manage the financial performance for the product line, including revenue attainment and margin.
• Responsible for new product launch including defining requirements, establishing pricing, and marketing collateral. Works closely with other functional teams to appropriately prioritize and staff the initiatives to support a new product launch.
• Advise operations on product demand information including forecast and timing.
• Define and execute the product lines short- and long-term strategy with input from key stakeholders. Participates in technology and product roadmap development to identify new and/or growth opportunities.
• Research competitive products and uncover customer needs by attending trade shows, monitoring market-specific publications and social media, and communicating regularly with customers and the sales teams.
• Evaluate product performance relative to market and recommend changes to reduce cost, improve lead-time, improve product performance, and revise promotional strategies.
• Supports sales calls, quotes, bid preparations, and product loads in appropriate systems.
Required Qualifications for Consideration:
• Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred
• 4+ years related product management or technical experience required
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time

• Strong analytical abilities and creative problem-solving skills
• General understanding of business finance and P&L preferred
• Ability to work and drive alignment within cross-functional teams
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven track record to communicate effectively in a technical environment and to non-technical audiences
• Experience working with microwave antennas and related components preferred
Justification:
• This position is part of succession planning where overlap will allow adequate training and knowledge transfer to replace a critical role in the MWS PLM team.
• The incumbent is expected to retire within the next 2 years or sooner.
• The overlap is also necessary to ensure a smooth customer transition as the incumbent directly supports key customers.
