Production Supervisor

Summary

The Production Supervisor (Silicon Dioxide and Semi-Rigid Products) directs the production team’s daily manufacturing. The Supervisor plans operations and is the first escalation point for issues. Reporting to the Business Manager for Silicon Dioxide and Semi-Rigid Products, this is a hands-on role in a fast-paced organization where everyone pitches in to help when needed. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage production personnel to deliver assemblies on time and meeting Times Microwave quality standards

  • Working closely with the Production Planner, plan and prioritize daily assignments of cable assembly work to operators to meet customer commitments

  • Own daily and monthly output metrics

  • Oversee production floor compliance with Times Microwave policies and procedures, including regular timesheet monitoring and approval

  • Implement regular production tasks such as (but not limited to) reviewing production records for completeness and accuracy, maintaining inventory and replenishing production supplies, conducting preventative maintenance, and inspecting production areas to meet EH&S goals

  • With quality and engineering, propose operational improvement projects and address any manufacturing non-conformances

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 1+ years supervisory or production team lead experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Demonstrated effective communication, self-management, and conflict resolution skills
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience, Associate degree preferred  

  • Experience with microwave or electronic components manufacturing (preferred)

  • Possess basic math and blueprint reading skills necessary to perform machining process
  • Proficient with basic measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Experience working with an inventory and / or materials requirements planning (MRP) system

  • Ability to work well as part of an integrated team including operators, technicians, engineers, and customer service

  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
