Wastewater Plant Operator I

You will help keep our community's wastewater treatment facilities running smoothly.

 
WORK HOURS:        Shift Work; Shift May Vary to include nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary to have operations 24 hours a day/7 day a week
WORK LOCATION:  In and around the City of Branson, Missouri; This position requires work to be performed onsite. 

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND, TRAINING REQUIRED
A High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
At least one (1) year of experience in the areas such as wastewater operations and maintenance, wastewater analysis, mechanical maintenance, and repair work, or closely related work is required.
Possession of a Missouri Class "D" Wastewater Treatment Certificate of Competency or equivalent from another state is required.
Additional licenses or certifications may be required for this position.
 
MISCELLANEOUS REQUIREMENTS
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and must be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position. 
• Must possess or obtain a Class "D" Missouri Wastewater Treatment Certification of Competency within 18 months of start date.  
• Must possess or obtain a valid Class B CDL with Air Brake endorsement within 12 months of hire date. 
• Must be willing to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary to have operations 24 hours a day/7 days a week.
• Must possess no felony convictions at any time while employed by the City of Branson.
• Must be able to pass background investigation, physical capability examination, and drug and alcohol screenings.


COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:  The starting hourly wage is $21.92 per hour and will increase to $22.79 per hour after 6 months of successful probation
