Monday–Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm with occasional evening/weekend support

A distinguished principal with multiple residences is seeking a confidential, tech-savvy, and hands-on Personal Assistant to manage and streamline their personal affairs, calendar, communications, and home operations. Based primarily in their Lake Forest residence, with occasional travel, this role is equal parts executive-level support and thoughtful household coordination.
Responsibilities
Serve as the principal’s right hand, ensuring their day-to-day life runs seamlessly.
Calendar & Scheduling
- Manage all appointments, social engagements, and operational calendars
- Proactively resolve scheduling conflicts and anticipate logistical needs
Communications
- Serve as the gatekeeper and voice for internal and external communication
- Draft and proofread communication
- Communicated information to household staff with clarity
Household & Personal Organization
- Maintain personal spaces, wardrobes, and inventories across residences
- Partner with household staff to ensure the homes are always principal-ready
Admin & Travel Support
- Prepare for travel with curated packing and logistics
- Track household inventories, reconcile expenses, and support special projects
Tech & Systems
- Use technology and productivity tools to streamline operations
- Maintain digital files, calendars, and communication channels
Light Pet Support
- Assist occasionally with scheduling for the principal’s puppy (e.g., grooming, vet appointments, etc.)
Qualities
- Exceptionally organized and resourceful
- Warm, personable, and polished in demeanor
- Naturally discreet, trustworthy, and respectful of privacy
- Strong written and verbal communication in English
- Tech-fluent and quick to master new systems (iCal, Google Suite, Mac, Dropbox, etc.)
- Able to work independently while communicating seamlessly with a wider team
- High emotional intelligence and intuition
- Affable, solution-oriented mindset
- Background working in private households or supporting high-level individuals
- Comfortable around dogs
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- CPR and First Aid certified or willing to become certified
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual base salary range $130,000 to $150,000, commensurate with experience
