Engineer I, Electronic Testing
How You’ll Help Us Connect the World:
As an Electronic Testing Engineer I, you will serve as a member of the reliability team and be mainly responsible for the testing and certification of the RET system as well as electronic PCBA, including engineering verification test (EVT), design verification test (DVT), ongoing reliability test (ORT), etc.
You are required to have a solid technical background in electronic testing, possess the ability to conduct failure analysis for PCBA, electronic devices and DC motors, and be familiar with the reliability testing process and international standards. This position will lead the development and execution of PCBA testing solutions, ensure that products comply with international regulations, and enable efficient collaboration within a global team. Work closely with multiple business units, R&D teams (located in Italy, America and China), quality, operation and procurement departments to jointly develop and qualify new designs and resolve defects during testing or mass production. This role will be based in Suzhou, China.
You Will Make an Impact By:
- Participate in Design for Reliability (DfR) activities: Actively participate in the DfR activities of RET and electronic project teams to assure acceptable risks for both Andrew and customers. Define reliability test plans and draft the schedules.
- Execute testing plans: Based on the target dates given by business or project, draft test plan and execute the design validation, certification, and ORT for RET and active products. Record the test results in a timely and detailed manner.
- Cross-departmental collaboration: Participate in DFMA and risk assessment of multiple design teams. Join cross-functional teams to conduct work related to failure and root cause analysis, cost reduction, and the introduction of new suppliers, materials/parts.
- Reliability testing and reports: Perform major environmental reliability tests (such as temperature and humidity, vibration, IPXX, surge etc.), accelerated life tests (HALT, HASS), and EMC tests, formulate reliability testing plans and output reports.
- Testing development and execution: Carry out the development and execution of RET and electronic testing, design and implement function test of active products and motors, and be proficient in using oscilloscopes, multimeters, ENA, SG, SA, PM, etc. It is best to be able to program control the test instrument.
- Data analysis and improvement: Analyze tested data, locate hardware/ software defects, conduct Failure Mode Analysis (FMA), put forward improvement suggestions and track verification, and coordinate with R&D or suppliers to optimize the design or process.
- Standards and compliance: Ensure that the testing process complies with international norms, such as IPC-A-610, IEC 60068, EN55032, EN55035. Be familiar with the requirements of product certifications and assist in preparing the compliance documents.
