At Inland Respite, we provide compassionate, high-quality respite care to families of individuals with developmental disabilities. We are seeking a dedicated, Bilingual Intake Coordinator to guide new clients and families through a smooth, compliant onboarding process that sets the foundation for quality care.
What You'll Do:

Manage incoming client referrals from Regional Centers, families, and partner agencies

Initiate timely contact with families to guide intake and documentation completion

Conduct frequent in-home visits for Agency clients and virtual visits for EOR clients
-
Serve as the family's main point of contact throughout the onboarding process

Collect and review necessary documentation such as IPPs, authorizations, and parent packets
-
Accurately input client data into EHR and tracking systems, ensuring compliance
-
Monitor caseloads and report barriers or delays to the Intake Supervisor
-
Maintain communication logs and provide regular status updates
-
Collaborate with Care Coordination and Care Recruiting teams to align clients with providers
-
Ensure smooth transition from intake to ongoing service delivery
-
Communicate with internal teams and referral sources to support timely activation of services
-
Participate in agency events and serve as a corporate representative as needed

Assist other departments during staffing shortages when necessary
Required:
-
Associate's degree in human services, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
-
Prior experience as an Intake Coordinator within a Regional Center-aligned agency preferred
-
Comfortable working with developmentally and intellectually disabled individuals
-
Knowledge of Inland Regional Center (IRC) referral and authorization procedures
-
Able to work in a fast-paced, service-driven environment

Strong understanding of HIPAA and confidentiality requirements
-
Willing and able to conduct home visits and virtual visits regularly
-
Detail-oriented with high accuracy and accountability
-
Proficient with Microsoft Office, cloud-based systems, and EHR platforms
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Strong organizational and time management skills
-
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license with insurance required

Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)

Work Environment & Schedule

Work indoors and outdoors with activities such as bending, walking, lifting (up to 25 lbs.), sitting for long periods, typing, and phone communication

Drive to client homes with varied external environmental conditions
-
Standard schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch

Occasional overtime may be necessary

Periodic regional travel throughout Southern California
