Parts Department Manager

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a member of Epic Flight Support, the Parts Department Manager will oversee the parts department and team. Will make sure inventory levels are maintained, and parts and materials for job completion are available. Will also monitor workstation inventory and ensure parts are delivered to the correct work centers on time and with correct system documentation. Other duties may include:

  • Develop processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and eliminate redundancy
  • Oversee team of Parts & Materials Clerks
  • Organize aircraft parts and inventory for the service center using a computer database
  • Pull orders, check in materials, and issue parts to the floor
  • Shipping and receiving duties
  • Deliver supplies to work or storage areas
  • Stock shelves and rotate inventory
  • Perform accurate inventory counts and use Excel to generate inventory reports
  • Verify receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered
  • Resolve shipment errors with suppliers

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

  • Purchasing or shipping & receiving experience is required
  • Previous aircraft industry experience is highly desirable
  • Experience with international shipping is highly desirable and preferred
  • Knowledge of aircraft maintenance software is desirable
  • Experience supervising a team
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Able to work as part of a team with a great attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High standards for following instructions, detailed work, and work quality
  • Able to stand for extended periods and move about the facility as needed
  • Self-motivated, self-disciplined, and organized
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future
