NPI Technician

Position: NPI Technician
Location: Valley Green, PA
Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. We are currently seeking a NPI Technician. The position will be based in our Etters, PA location.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to support and maintain automation equipment and related processes in a development organization.
- Design and fabrication of new tooling design, including jigs, fixtures and process improvements to automation lines.
- Inspecting, measuring, and preparing raw materials
- Basic automation machine operation, including loading parts, running programs, basic machine preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Inspecting and testing completed part assemblies
- Utilize tweezers under a microscope to rework/fix completed part assemblies by hand
- Completing daily paperwork and production tracking forms
- Maintain a clean work environment, including routine cleaning and housekeeping
- Completing other tasks assigned by supervisor
Position Type:
This is a full-time hourly position, 40 hours per week, with potential overtime as required. This job operates in a manufacturing lab setting and requires employees to have excellent vision and hand eye coordination while working under a microscope. While performing this job, employees will frequently handle chemicals, be exposed to loud noise and work with moving mechanical parts. All employees must be capable of lifting up to 25 lbs.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- 5-10 years applicable industry experience with automation and toolmaking.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of mechanical assemblies
- Basic familiarity with engineering drawings and prints
- Hand eye coordination for micro-electronic components
- Strong understanding of mechanical assembly
- Mechanically inclined for daily maintenance and cleaning process of machinery
- General ability to use Microsoft office programs
