Position Summary

We are seeking a full time dedicated Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team.  This full time roll offers a unique opportunity to provide community centered care to children and adolescents in Camden.  The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with underserved populations and committed to promoting health equity.  

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering primary pediatric care including well-child visits, immunizations, developmental screenings, and acute care
  • Providing behavioral health support for adolescents, including screening and early intervention
  • Participating in the Reach Out and Read program to promote early literacy and family engagement
  • Collaborating with community partners and local organizations to support wraparound services for families
  • Educating patients and caregivers on health maintenance, disease prevention, and developmental milestones
  • Working closely with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, behavioral health providers, and care coordinators
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
  • Participating in quality improvement and population health initiatives
  • Practicing within the full scope of licensure and certification as a Nurse Practitioner, while recognizing and respecting professional boundaries and collaborative protocols

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • One late evening per week
  • No weekends
  • On-call responsibilities included

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide primary pediatric care, including well-child visits, immunizations, and acute care
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
  • Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in the state of New Jersey
  • Board certified (PNP-PC)
  • Experience in community health or underserved populations preferred
  • Two years minimum practicing as a nurse practitioner 
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
