EHS Technician
The selected candidate is responsible for providing support in environmental, health, and safety programs, by complying with regulatory and operating standards. Responsible for coordinating activities and aligning practices with other US facilities (Wallingford, CT; Grand Rapids, MI; Nashua, NH; Sidney, NY; and West Palm Beach, FL)

The Role -
The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Technician is the entry level EHS position for the Amphenol Aerospace – Mesa facility. This position will work under the direction of EHS leadership to coordinate effective EHS support for the operational team. The EHS Technician will be responsible for performing tasks associated with maintaining compliance with applicable environmental, health & safety regulations.
Primary Job Functions
- Basic to intermediate understanding of regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and the ability to interpret and apply applicable standards to operational processes.
- Conduct audits and assessments for regulatory compliance, reporting the same for regulatory or continuous improvement processes.
- Basic to intermediate understanding of injury classification.
- Ability to conduct injury or incident investigations under the guidance of EHS leadership and in partnership with operational leaders.
- Deliver training such as New Employee Orientation, EHS training as well as annually required training.
- Support EHS initiatives through communication and implementation processes.
- Ensure data accuracy and availability. Report on the same to drive operational improvements in a collaborative way.
- Clear and accurate report writing.
- Acts as point of contact for applicable vendors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in equal experience in an applicable field preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing preferred.
- Must be able to work independently with little direct supervision.
- Strong interpersonal communication, verbal and written skills required.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite programs (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Must be comfortable with technology (computer, tablet, phone, etc.).
- Must be able to be on call 24 hours a day for safety emergencies.
- Physical demands of the role include sitting, bending, interaction with operations (walking, lifting, bending, climbing stairs).
- Travel, while minimal may be required for training, conferences, and other facility support.
Compensation based on experience.
