These experienced professionals provide administrative expertise, facilities management, natural and cultural resource planning, and a broad array of other professional skills that support the National Park Service through the Experienced Services Program (ESP).

Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an ?at-will? relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee.

PLEASE NOTE: An ?Enrollee? is not a federal employee, nor an employee of NEW Solutions. An ?Enrollee? is a participant in a grant program established through a Cooperative Agreement funded by the agency and administered by NEW Solutions.

Qualifications:

BA/BS Degree in no particular degree required with minimum additional experience of 5 year(s) in administrative, operations, and financial analysis

Duties:

The Administrative Assistant will perform technical, analytical and administrative support duties for SEKI in the Vegetation Management Branch of the Resources Management & Science Division. Enrollee will assist park managers with assorted administrative support tasks, including: filing, office organization, and disposal of outdated files/paperwork; budgeting, tracking expenses, and purchasing; submission of personnel requests, and coordination of employee on-boarding, orientation, and computer access; processing travel requests and travel reimbursements; inventorying equipment and supplies; implementation of safety and communication plans; and, occasionally assisting field crews with nursery and fieldwork.

  • Assists program managers with filing, office organization, and disposal of outdated files/paperwork.   25%
  • Assists program managers with budgeting, tracking expenses, and purchasing.   20%
  • Assists program managers with submission of personnel requests, and coordination of employee on-boarding, orientation, and computer access.   15%
  • Assists program managers with processing travel requests and travel reimbursements.   10%
  • Assists program managers in inventorying equipment and supplies.   10%
  • Assists program managers with implementation of safety and communication plans.   10%
  • On occasion, assists field crews with nursery and fieldwork   10%

  • Overnight travel: Occasional (1-2 nights per month)
